CASA BLANCA SUR
Cerritos Beach, BCS México
Built in 2001 as a retreat hotel above one of Baja’s best surf breaks in Cerritos, the property sat unused on the beach for four years before a full gut renovation brought it back to its glory. Drawing on Moroccan influence, Mexican haciendas and 1970s Malibu surf hotels, the studio blended those vibes into the luxury property now called Casa Blanca Sur. The architecture was upgraded and the eleven suites taken from three-star to five-star amenities; a new courtyard, rooftop yoga deck, two chef’s kitchens and a beachside pool for up to thirty were added. An oasis from the hustle of Cabo, it is built for private weddings, events and retreats — beach-house ease at boutique-hotel polish.
